It's incredible that one man

could build up so much momentum

that in his death

his inertia spawned a generation

It was plain for them to see

what he meant to you and me

one to the chin and one to the chest

couldn't stop the movement...

... and his name is Malcolm X.

is this holy place

we come to bear witness to a man

who means so much to us.

To those of you who never knew Malcolm X

You may consider him a militant

a radical,

a terrorist.

But to those of you who ever heard him speak,

or ever once read anything that he wrote,

or ever heald his hand...

... you would know him for what he truly was

a prince,

our own shining prince,

who gave his life because he loved us so.
