JULY 01st - Lux, Nijmegen HOL

Sylvie (the lovely American girl we met in Amsterdam) decided to join on the trip to Nijmegen although she had to leave for the US the next morning. We had to hurry, cause we had to get to Nijmegen for the evening gig! Getting out of Amsterdam (read at the instore Concerto gig) wasn't a problem, but getting to Nijmegen...I think we saw the whole Netherlands driving in the wrong direction, taking wrong exits etc...

Finally we arrived at Nijmegen and after all the troubles finding the town, we had the same troubles with finding the venue...It wasn't a concerthall, but a movietheatre...Anyway, we got in 5 min before the band started playing, still out of breath of running to the LUX hall. But it was worth the run, cause the show was brilliant. The venue was almost sold out, there were only a few tickets left. The setlist was again different than the Amsterdam show and although the band must have been really tired, they were really 'on' on stage. One thing I missed in Nijmegen were the vibes that the Amsterdam audience had!! A special thing I remember from that show is the 'Sesame Street Medley'. It's just so funny hearing this song again. Even once Michael tried to sing the refrain in Dutch, making the Sesame Street into Sesame Straat :-). At the end of the song Michael bursted out laughing cause the crowd were doing this funny dance Michael and Radio introduced.  

Funny thing: note the 'Pickle in da Mickle' on the setlist. Again they played completely different songs than stated on the setlist. For example they didn't play 'Hole in the Bucket'. Strange the band always knows what song they are going to play, cause the songs are so mixed up :-)
